At PartyZone, we often get asked by our customers, “What is the difference between the inflatable combo bounce houses that are on the website?”  Well the answer is sometimes overwhelming for some who are still just in the search phase of different options.  Others have their mind set on a type but just haven’t narrowed it down to which combo is best for them. 

The combos come in a variety of options which are mainly their features, hence the name 3n1, 4n1, 5n1, and 7n1 combos.  Each one shares most of the same features but vary in size.  All of the combos have some basic features like large bouncing areas, climb and slides, and a basketball goal inside the play area.  The 5n1 and 7n1 inflatable combo bounce house with slides have a few extras to give it that much more excitement for the kids.  Those extra features include horizontal logs, vertical pop-ups, and even an extra basketball goal on the outside of the inflatable like the7n1 combos.

4n1 Backyard Combo

New for 2016 are the 4n1 Backyard Combos!  They really came through with these for the parents with younger kids but who want to have a combo like the young teens.  The backyard combo bouncer has a little smaller footprint compared to its bigger brother the 5n1 but bigger than a large bounce house.  It being smaller also helps with our customers who have smaller backyards in some areas of New Orleans, Metairie, and Kenner where the space is cramped but they want all the fun features of a combo. 

The main difference between the 5n1 and the 4n1 Backyard Combos is the horizontal logs and vertical obstacle pop-ups.  It still packs the basketball goal in the play area, climb and slide plus of course the large bouncing area.  These backyard combos even have the capabilities to add a themed panel to the front for all those themed birthday parties.  We have over 30+ themed options to choose from to add to your 4n1 Backyard Combo which also come in a neutral colored modular or a dream colored modular.  At $189.99, this option is a no brainer for those who want 4 times the fun than a normal bounce house and a cheaper option compared the larger combos.

5n1 Combo

The 5n1 combos have been around for some time now but recently have been added to the list of modular ability inflatables.  New for 2016, we have added the castle 5n1 and modular 5n1 which both have the ability to add a themed panel to the front of the inflatable.  Even though they have been around for a while, the 5n1 combo still packs all the exciting features like the basketball goal inside the play area, horizontal logs, vertical obstacle pop-ups, climb and slide plus the large bouncing area. 

The 5n1 combos are even themed with your favorite characters like Mickey, Disney Princess, Sports, and more.  Choose from over 30+ themes with our panels for even more of a selection to add to the inflatable like the Castle 5n1 Combo or the Modular 5n1 Combo. 

A great reason most parents like the 5n1 type combos is the kids don’t have to get out of the inflatable once they slide down.  The landing area ends on the inflated mattress right by the entrance to the bouncing area so that means no more dirty or wet socks each time they slide down!

New 7n1 Combos

The new 7n1 combos surely are the top of the chain when it comes to inflatable bounce house combos.  They pack a big punch with all the features as the 5n1 plus an additional basketball goal outside the inflatable for the kids at play not inside the inflatable.  The 7n1 has a larger bouncing area since the obstacle horizontal log and vertical pop-ups are positioned before the climb feature for the slide.  Be sure to check out the overview schematics to see the layout of this awesome new inflatable.

With the end of the school year approaching, dunk tank season is in full swing! Did you know dunking booths actually have a season? The time of the year where hundreds, if not thousands, of people in the New Orleans area volunteer to be dunked at the numerous school festivals, church functions, and company events in the New Orleans area every spring. As the days get longer and the sun hotter, dunk tank season only heats up around town.

PartyZone Inflatables is one of the area’s leader in dunk tank rentals.  Depending on the size of your space, the boldness of your volunteers, and your budget, we recommend our large traditional dunk tanks for any large event with plenty in attendance for a great show. 

Keep in mind, dunk tanks are a great way to also raise money with school fundraisers or other non-profit organizations.  It provides for a quick way to raise money by allows your guests a chance to dunk the volunteer in the hot seat by attempting to hit the target with 3 soft balls from 20-25 feet away.  It seems easy enough, right?  Well give it a try and let us know how you did! 

Traditional Dunk Tanks

Our traditional dunk tanks are large 500 gallon blue tanks affixed to a frame in a trailer or dolly form for transportation purposes to your event location. With the big blue tank and see-through window, viewers can get a full line of sight on the action above and below the water.  The dunking booths come with large target backdrops so you aren’t having to chase the balls all over your event after each person has a turn throwing at the target.

Safety is key, so the volunteers are safely tucked away behind the fenced frame on the hot seat awaiting to be dunked!  With that in mind, nobody has to worry about hitting your volunteers with the balls tossed at the target.

How to Choose an Inflatable by Age Groups

Kids Inflatable Rentals are sure one of the most exciting aspects of any party or event where the little ones on up to young teens and even adults are attending.  Although it seems too good to be true, not all inflatable types are necessarily appropriate for every age group of kids in attendance.  PartyZone offers a variety of inflatable rentals so parents and event organizers will be able to choose the most suitable inflatable for the guests attending the event.  It is just as important to select the best option available for the appropriate ago group as choosing the theme since they all result in hours of inflatable fun!

In the beginning phase of planning your event, it helps to identify the different age groups who will be attending.  While determining the ages, please keep in mind the groups should reflect the size of the children as well.  The age and size of the kids directly relates to the type of inflatable needed for a complete inflatable experience.  For example, toddler bouncers are specifically designed for kids 7 and under (recommended ages 3 to 7) due to the nature of elements used for entertainment in the playground which may not be suitable for older kids such as young teens.  Most inflatable structures are designed to provide a safe environment for all those at play.  With that in mind, the older kids or young teens and even adults will be more engaged in physical activity, therefore, bounce house with slide combos, obstacle courses, or interactive games are a perfect choice. 

Whichever route you take as a party planner, it is important to keep in mind that larger teens and smaller kids should never be able on an inflatable structure at the same time no matter the type of inflatable rental.  If a mixed crowd is the only option, then allow the groups take turns to avoid any accidents of foul play or collisions.  Stick to the safe side and try to separate attractions for each age group!

Ages 7 and under – Toddlers

Ages 8 to 12 – Kids

Ages 12 and up – Young Teens and Adults

Party Planning Tips for Renting an Inflatable

Party planning can be rather overwhelming at times due to the many tasks involved.  All of the decisions tend to start adding up when trying to decide on food options, decorations for theme, entertainment, and other minor details involved with planning a party.   These are among the many things needing to be done without even realizing the chores around the party location. 

While the end results is worth the effort, it is hard to pull off without a few hiccups along the way.  If you are planning on renting an inflatable party rental for your entertainment choice whether it’s a bounce house, water slide, obstacle course, or interactive games then we have a few ideas to help you along the way.  Avoid any minor hiccups by following these few party planning tips. 

1.       Do you have enough space or area?

If you’re hosting a party in the backyard, make sure you have enough space for the inflatable desired.  The most popular bounce houses are 13ft x 13ft (Medium) or 15ft x 15ft (Large) and the sizes increase with more features such as our bounce house with slide combos or toddler playgrounds.  When deciding which inflatable you should reserve, measure the area you are planning on setting the inflatable up at.  Keep in mind there are things you should consider also like where do I want the entrance, where is the power source, and do I have enough room around the inflatable at all times without any obstructions.  Most of our customers like to setup in the back corner of the yards or area at the event location to ensure enough room in front for entertainment and parents to observe the kids playing. 

2.       Do you have power within 75ft?

As mentioned in tip #1, things to consider are where you want to put the entrance for the kids so they can get in and out of the inflatable game within eyesight of parents.  Once the setup location is decided, one of the other items to consider should be the location of the power source (generator) or standard household electrical outlet (GFCI 110V Outlet on 20 amp circuit).  The blowers use a significant amount of power during its use so an ideal maximum distance is 75-100ft before any power loss or tripping of the circuits.  We provide 12 gauge extension cords to be able to power the blower at those distances.    

Inflatables require electric blowers in order to inflate the structure and maintain the inflation during its use at all times.  Therefore, it’s wise to make sure the location of the blowers are out of the way especially considering the noise level when it is on.  Our delivery crews will make sure the extension cords used will be placed safely out of the way of any walking areas, if applicable on your setup. 

Please be cautious not to overload the circuit once the inflatable is setup to avoid accidental deflation of the inflatable with any kids inside!

3.       Do you have any obstructions?

When considering your setup location, please be aware of any obstructions underground such as utilities or water lines.   Inflatables must be secured at all times during operation by steel hook stakes at every anchor point driven into the ground.  These large stakes are typically 18-36 inches long.  Knowing the location of any underground obstructions can help avoid any damage when securing the inflatable.

There are some inflatables such as combos, water slides, and obstacle courses that may exceed 15ft in height so any overhead obstructions must be observed as well when planning our your setup location.  Inflatable structures must have a clearance of at least 3ft above the top of the unit to avoid any interference.  Therefore, all power lines, cable lines, low lying tree limbs or any other overhead obstructions must be considered and carefully measured to ensure a safe setup is available for your inflatable rental.  See our inflatable rental tips for more details. 

4.       Having a party at a park?

Parks and recreational areas have many rules in place when it comes to inflatables being allowed on grounds during your event.  It is advised to research all of their rules and regulations prior to booking an inflatable.  We have compiled some basic questions you should ask the coordinator at the location for you. 

                -Do you allow inflatables on grounds?

                -Which type of inflatables do you allow, if any?

                -Do you require any additional insurance or liability for inflatables?

                -Do we need a permit for the inflatable on grounds?

                -Is there power available for my inflatable?

-What is the earliest time we can have the inflatable delivered and the latest time picked up?   

Most parks require the rental company to have at least a one million dollar insurance policy in order to setup any inflatable on their grounds, which we have.  At some parks, they even require us to add them as an additional insured onto our insurance policy for liability coverage, for an additional fee.  Please make sure you provide a few weeks in advance in order to complete the process and ample time for us to submit the certificate of insurance to your locations coordinator.   Additional fees may apply when renting at parks, see our park rental tips.   

5.       What is the type of setup surface?

What type of surface are you going to have at the location, would it be grass, concrete, asphalt, dirt, or indoor floor?  Although we can setup on any surface, certain inflatables are not best suitable on every surface.  Inflatables are best setup on a grass surface to assist in avoiding any injuries to the kids while getting in and out of the inflatable you rent.  If the inflatable must be setup on concrete, asphalt, or indoor floor then we must secure using sandbags, additional fees may apply. 

The larger water slides and taller structures are safer while setup on grass so our delivery crews can secure using large stakes in the ground.  The smaller inflatables like bounce houses and the like are suitable for being secured by sandbags.  We will not setup any inflatable on any surface type with obstructions protruding the surface, uneven surfaces, as well as gravel or rocks.  See our setup area tips for more details.

Budget
When customers are starting the process of planning for their party the most important phase is knowing what your budget is and how much are you willing to spend on this portion of the party.  Whether it be in your backyard for your kids, friends, family, or even a company event the budget usually helps when knowing which category of inflatables to start with.  Inflatables can have various price ranges starting at $100 all the way up to $1000 depending on the items, features, theme, size, and functionality.  We put together a quick reference guide with a basic range of prices within the different categories of inflatables.   Keep in mind, prices are subject to change and do not include tax or any applicable fees which may be associated with your event, see additional fees for additional information.

Once you determine out where you are going to have your party or event location it is important to know if there are any restrictions which may affect your inflatable rental.  In the restrictions of a location there are multiple questions you as the renter should answer once you know the location and the specifics.  We have a few scenarios to help guide you with your location type.
Residential
The residential location type may be a single family home or multi family home, apartment complexes need special permission from leasing office.  A party at a residential type is one of the easiest ones to plan for since you or someone you know owns the property and have easy access to the setup area to verify its specifications.  Although it may ne the easier of the types, there are still aspects which need to be verified to ensure you have a setup area sufficient for your rental choice.  A few quick tips below will guide you along the way to make sure your setup area fits within the inflatable rentals limitations.
Is there a power source 115 volts with a 20 amperes dedicated circuit within 100ft of the furthest corner of the setup area?  Is the size of the setup area large enough to fit the inflatable rental you are planning on renting? Is the setup area surface an approve surface of either grass, dirt, concrete, or asphalt? Is the setup area free from obstructions overhead, around setup area, and the ground surface? Is there a clear path accessible and large enough to accommodate the inflatable to be maneuvered to the setup area? Setup Area Tips Is there the correct number of attendants to supervise the safety of the persons at play during the inflatable rental in operation? Is there a homeowners insurance policy to cover the liability of the inflatable rental while in operation? Water Usage

Event in Metairie, February 2014

 

It was a nice event they had this weekend in Metairie with our Mickey Park Learning Club - Toddler Interactive Bounce House. Our customers said the kids had a blast matching the numbers, shapes, and playing with Mickey and Minnie inside. They were able to run, jump, slide, and even interact with the pop-up characters inside the inflatable. 

 

We are sure glad the little ones enjoyed it.  It is always great to see the memories created with our party rentals.  The expressions on their faces were priceless!
